Too Faced Christmas Cookie House Party | Sweet Sugary Prettiness

The Too Faced Christmas collections are always one of the releases that I wait for each year and this time it proved to be no different as everything was gingerbread and sweet themed. I could have quite happily added all of the gingerbread and candy pastel yumminess to my basket but I restrained myself and just picked up the Christmas Cookie House Party set which is definitely one of the starring products and I couldn't wait to share it with you...

The Christmas Cookie House Party set has an adorable gingerbread house design which is formed of three breakaway palettes containing a beautiful selection of eyeshadows and glitters as well as a bronzer, blusher and highlighter. The set also contains three sweet little mini products :~ a Melted Matte Lipstick in the shade 'Gingerbread Man' which has the loveliest little gingerbread men wearing pink bows illustrated on it, a Shadow Insurance Primer which is amazing for prolonging the wear time of your eyeshadow and a Better Than Sex Mascara which is one of the brand's bestselling products.

Even the outer packaging of the Christmas Cookie House Party Set is so cute and festive with a whimsical gingerbread house set against a pale pink background with enchanting twinkly gold stars. The little snowy gingerbread house is decorated with pretty bow wreaths, gumdrop sweeties and even has an adorable little gingerbread girl waiting at the door with a present to welcome you in. All of the palettes also smell like gingerbread too with a lovely rich scent of creamy vanilla, baked cookies and Christmas spices.

This palette is the largest out of the three, making up the main part of the gingerbread house, and contains twenty beautiful eyeshadows in a range of mattes and shimmers. The gingerbread house is a sugary pink colour framed in elegant gold and has yummy icing dripping from the roof and the windows. It is adorned with little sugar crystals, pink and white striped gumdrops and has a beautiful little gingerbread girl at the door wearing a hot pink bow and she has little candy blushing cheeks. There is even an adorable puppy and a pretty Christmas tree decorated with sparkling gold stars peeking out of the windows. Inside the palette, there are two little gingerbread men toasting their pink prosecco in gorgeous little cocktail glasses, each finished with a pink gumdrop.

There is a pretty range of warm neutrals, soft rose golds and deeper pinks and plums with a little pop of green in a gorgeous range of shimmers and mattes. I think my favourite shades from this palette would have to be 'Snow Fake', 'Icing On Top', 'Tinsel Town' and 'Kiss & Caramel'. I have included a little description of each shade below...

Snow Fake
An iridescent creamy silver with baby pink and gold sparkles. It reminds me of a snowy enchanted swan!

Sled No One Ever
A cool-toned matte taupe shade with a lovely pigmentation.

Santa's Favourite
A deep burgundy shade with a subtle golden glitter.

That's My Jam
A matte plum colour which makes me think of sugar plum fairies twirling in the Nutcracker ballet.

Cream Filling
A warm-toned matte cream shade which works well as a base colour.

Icing On Top
A metallic champagne with a subtle golden glitter. The perfect shade to wear for popping open the prosecco!

Nooks & Cranberries
A lovely festive matte deep plum shade which makes me think of mulled wine, spices and Christmas markets.

Ginger Bells
A matte light gingerbread shade with a peachy undertone.

I Love Yule
A pretty rose golden shimmer which looks so gorgeous and girly.

Tinsel Town
A pretty soft taupe champagne shade with a slight lilac reflex. This one reminds me of magical Christmas unicorns in a snowy winter wonderland.

Cinnamagic
A festive sparkling copper shade which makes me think of cinnamon lattes, nutmeg and clove.

Secret Santa
A deep sable brown shade which would work well for a smokey eye.

Oh, Snap!
A matte chocolate brown shade which is one of my favourites to smudge out in my crease for a little bit of definition.

Don't Hate, Decorate!
A metallic warm brown with a very subtle hint of golden shimmer.

Get Elfed Up
A gorgeous deep gold shimmer with a festive green reflex.

What A Batch
A soft brown shade which is another lovely one for using in your crease.

Drink Up, Grinches
A deep Christmas tree green shade with a light sparkle.

Kiss & Caramel
Another one of my faves! A gorgeous caramel golden glitter shade which makes me think of caramel lattes and sugar cookies.

Hot & Coal
A black shade with a subtle gold and blue sparkly reflex. I'd save this one for using as an eyeliner!

Easy Bake Lovin'
A soft metallic bronze which looks like a melted gingerbread man and blends out beautifully.

The little roof palette is possibly my favourite as it is decorated with snowy icing dusted in iridescent glitter and has beautiful pink and white striped gumdrops and little mint and rainbow sweeties on it. Inside this one, it has a pretty baby pink top lid with twinkly gold stars and it contains a bronzer, a blusher and a highlighter in cute little triangular shapes. The bronzer called 'Extra Toasty' is a gorgeous warm-toned brown which will suit most skintones and is perfect for giving you a little bit of a sunkissed look on these chilly winter days. Although I typically like to go for pink blushes, 'Daydreamer' is a subtle dusky peach with a rosey undertone and blends out beautifully on to the skin so would be one that I could reach for on a day where I wanted a more minimal makeup look. The highlighter called 'Get Frosted' is a shimmering golden glitter which looks really festive when applied but isn't quite as pigmented as the likes of Becca highlighters which I just adore.

The last palette is the little door of the gingerbread house and has a gingerbread man waiting to invite you in with his pink candy cane and little gumdrop buttons set against a mint candy background. This one contains four glitter eyeshadows and two matte eyeshadows which are both perfect transitional colours:~ 'On A Roll' is lovely for more subtle makeup and 'Can't Catch Me' would be so pretty for a festive smokey eye. I did find that with these glitters, although the colours are gorgeous, that they are just basically coloured glitter so I would recommend using a glitter glue or a makeup fixing mist underneath them to really make them opaque.

Frost Yourselves
A silver champagne glitter with teeny brown flecks.

Miss Kringle
A gorgeous golden sparkle which looks so princessy and festive.

Snow Pink
A pretty rose gold glitter which looks beautiful paired with Charlotte Tilbury's 'Pillow Talk' Lipstick

All My Wishes
A bronze glitter with warm golden sparkles which looks like a gingerbread cookie.

On A Roll
A warm-toned matte taupe which is a perfect transitional colour.

Can't Catch Me
A matte espresso brown shade which is lovely for using to create a smokey eye with or smudging along your lash lines.

I'm really pleased that I purchased this set as I love the Christmas cookie packaging and some of the shades are gorgeous, although I do have to be honest in that I preferred last year's collection with the blush pink velvety Christmas tree and snowy swans. However, this one still has some lovely colours and is definitely worth investing in if you like your Christmassy neutrals and shimmers.

I'd also love to try the Gingerbread Sugar Body Shimmer which will give a glittering golden glow and has the most adorable pink fluffy powder puff and the Let It Snow, Girl! set which has three palettes illustrated with little dainty doll faces with a beautiful selection of eyeshadows, blushes and a highlighter as well as a mini candy striped Better Than Sex mascara.

I'm wishing you all a lovely Christmas filled with snowy swans, sugar cookies and pink bow presents under the twinkling Christmas tree!

Are any of the Too Faced Christmas items on your wishlist?

Mac Starring You Holiday Collection | Twinkling Starry Prettiness

I always eagerly anticipate the release of the new Mac holiday makeup collections and when I saw some sneak peeks of this beautiful Christmas collection, I went into starry-eyed mode. The packaging is so beautiful with the teeny gold stars sprinkled across it and I knew that it was going to be hard to resist a pink lipstick embossed in stars. So on the day that they were released, I popped over to the Mac website and decided to splurge on a few little Christmas treats from me to me so I thought I'd share them with you...

The packaging for this range makes me think of glitzy Christmas parties, bubbly prosecco and sparkling dresses and heels. I love the traditional sleek black design of the Mac compacts and bullets and these have been dressed up for the festive with the loveliest wintery gold stars sprinkled all over them. The Starring You range has so many pretty gifting options with little makeup sets, brushes and gorgeous makeup bags complete with star charms which would be perfect for any beauty lover but be quick as the items are all limited edition.

The first item that I added to my online basket was, of course, the 'Kiss Of Stars' lipstick as how could I say no to a pink lipstick embossed with stars and sprinkled in stardust? The lipsticks are a range of six sparkling and pearlised shades with an intense creamy colour payoff and a glittering finish as they have pearlescent particles that add a beautiful shimmer, perfect for those glossy kissable party lips! 'Kiss Of Stars' is a light warm-toned pink which has teeny flecks of gold and silver glitter. I didn't find this to have a really opaque finish but it is lovely layered over other lipsticks to create a sparkling lip.

I also picked up the Lipglass in the shade 'Starring Youas I loved the cool almost Barbie pink colour and the sprinkling of stardust on the packaging. This lipgloss has flecks of iridescent blue, white and pink sparkles and little shimmery pearls so it has a really sparkly finish and is perfect for all of those festive party lip looks if you want to be more girly instead of going for the traditional red colours. I found that this one applied really easily with the cushiony soft doefoot applicator and it lasts well too. I drank a hot chocolate whilst wearing this at the Christmas market and I still had some glitter on my lips afterwards so I would definitely recommend this one!

The last item that I couldn't resist treating myself to is the beautiful Opalescent Powder in the shade 'Shooting Star'. The compact is a sleek shiny black design with glittering stars dusted over it and the Mac logo is a gorgeous rose gold colour. I chose the shade 'Shooting Star' as it's a beautiful soft shimmering pink which will be perfect for creating a winter flush that will make you look as if you have been out in a snowy winter wonderland all day. I love the delicate star embossing on the compact and it has a lovely creamy texture when applied which blends out beautifully over the top of my makeup.

I love the pieces that I chose from the Mac Starring You collection as I think they look so glitzy and festive but still have a gorgeous range of wearable shades like nudes and pinks which is perfect for everyday. They would also make the loveliest gift idea if you were still looking for a last minute suggestion.

Have you tried anything from the Mac Starring You collection?

Enchanting Girly Christmas Gift Wrapping Ideas

I have been so excited to pop this blog post together ever since I came across some of the most adorable wrapping paper and gift bags when the shops started releasing their Christmas ranges. I really enjoy wrapping presents and I love nothing more than to get cosied up with a marshmallow hot chocolate, my Christmas tree twinkling and a cute Christmas movie on in the background whilst I make all of my presents look pretty. I usually stick to a theme with my gift wrapping each year and whilst I love all of my whites, silvers and sparkles, I decided to go a little more girly this year and include pink shimmering snowflakes, snowy swans and fairytale unicorns so I hope this provides you with some inspiration if you still have some last minute gift wrapping to finish...

The first roll of whimsical wrapping paper that I came across was this gorgeous sugary pink unicorn print from The Range. They have a whole set of beautiful unicorn wrapping essentials this year so I was totally in my element and I don't even care if this is meant to be for little ones because I just love it. The magical unicorns have gorgeous pastel manes and tails and are wearing cute pink Santa hats which is so cute and festive. I also picked up the matching gift tags which have a pretty baby pink ribbon so that you can tie them onto your presents and add a little touch of unicorn sparkliness!

My eyes lit up like a glittering heart-eyed emoji when I came across this beautiful dainty swan wrapping paper on the WH Smith website. I'm so happy that snowy swans seem to be on trend at the minute as I think they look so fairytale-esque and perfect for the winter and Christmas season if you like to go for more of a girly theme. The wallpaper comes in a snowy white and a lovely soft cotton candy pink each adorned with the most beautiful whimsical swan princesses and shimmering gold snowflake details. I also purchased the matching gift tags which add the loveliest finishing touch and just complete the whole princessy look when tied on with a pink satin ribbon. I also treated myself to the beautiful matching white swan gift bag which I think I might actually keep for decor in my beauty room as it's so whimsical and pretty and I just adore the swan illustration with the glittering gold details. I always find that WH Smith have a gorgeous range of gift wrapping but this one is definitely my favourite creation so far!

I love using satin pink ribbons in my photography for my blog and my Instagram which is probably really obvious but I just think that tying a pretty bow around items gives them an extra special girly touch. As I'd decided to go for a pink fairytale theme for my Christmas gift wrapping this year, there is nothing better than a gorgeous pink satin bow tied around your presents to make them even more princessy. Of course, you don't just need to stick to pink but I think this lovely soft baby pink shade looks wintery and girly without being too sugary sweet and you can buy some gorgeous shades of pastel ribbons quite cheaply in craft stores or on eBay.

As soon as I spotted this unicorn wrapping box, I bought it even though I have no idea if I'm actually going to use it for a Christmas gift. It matches the beautiful unicorn Christmas paper and gift tags that I mentioned above and has a pretty hot pink lid with a baby pink base. I love the whimsical unicorns wearing Santa hats and I think this would be perfect for giftwrapping for a little one or you could even use it as a Christmas Eve box. I've popped mine under my Christmas tree for decor and it looks so magical and enchanting!

I also couldn't resist the unicorn gift bags as they are just perfection in my eyes! They come in a few different sizes so I bought a small, medium and a larger one and I think my husband may actually use them for wrapping my presents with. I love the pastel pink shade and whimsical unicorn on the front and they also say 'believe in the magic of Christmas' which is just adorable!

The last item which I had to include in this blog post is this beautiful shimmering pink snowflake wrapping paper also from Matalan. I think this one is lovely if you want to have a girly theme but want to go for something a little more traditional than unicorns or swans. It has the prettiest iridescent snowflake pattern and I think it looks perfect finished with a big pink satin bow!

I hope that you've enjoyed reading about some of my Christmas gift wrapping ideas and that you're all nearly finished your Christmas shopping. Which item is your favourite?

Pretty Festive Home Purchases

It probably won't come as much of a surprise to anyone that I love all things pink and glittery, so when Christmas comes around, it's the perfect time to treat yourself to some new girly pieces for your home. Seeing as I've collected a few lovely new things recently, I thought I'd pop them all together into a little Christmassy blog post...

Pink Shimmery Pearlescent Star Ornament
I spotted this beautiful baby pink shimmery star ornament in one of my local garden centres and I thought it was so pretty. I've popped it on the window ledge of our spare bedroom next to my white glitzy reindeer and I think it looks really dreamy and magical. I love the soft pearlescent sheen to it and the double star pattern which will give any room a subtle touch of girly Christmas sparkle!

Primark Holly The Reindeer Fluffy Toy
I promise that I'm not actually five years old but when I came across this fluffy light gold reindeer in Primark with a snowflake on her head, how could I possibly say no? She has the prettiest little silver snowflake on her ear, pink blushing cheeks and black eyelashes and would be such a sweet gift for a little one. I have her on our bed which my husband is totally thrilled about, sssh!

I actually purchased this cute little Let It Snow sign back in October as I needed it as soon as I spotted it! Matalan have the most gorgeous Christmas decor pieces and baubles available this year so I would highly recommend checking them out if you haven't already. This white wooden sign is covered in a fine iridescent glitter and has little cut out snowflakes and sparkles. It also lights up and I have it sitting on a little table next to my fireplace and it looks so wintery and cute.

Snowflake Cookie is one of my favourite Christmas candles and I always have to treat myself to at least one jar each year. As well as loving the pastel pink colour which is perfect for girly Christmas decor, the scent is a gorgeous mix of buttercream, fluffy marshmallows, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar cookies so it has a really sugary sweet icing scent. I'm also not going to lie, I burn this one throughout January and February too and it really cheers up the cold winter months.

I picked up this lovely Spiced White Cocoa candle from Yankee Candle last year and absolutely adored it so I had to purchase another one this year. If you love sugary sweet baking scents, you will absolutely love this one! It's described as 'warm and indulgent with swirls of cocoa topped with whipped cream and a hint of nutmeg' so it makes your home smell like a creamy white hot chocolate and festive sugar cookies.

I was having a little browse on the Yankee Candle website as they always have some lovely limited edition candles available for the different seasons and I immediately added this one to my basket as soon as I spotted it. It's called Sugar Frost Christmas and is a lovely pale creamy white chocolate shade. It's my perfect scent as it smells like a mixture of creamy vanilla, praline and sugar so it's a yummy sweet one that reminds me of sugar cookies!

I hope you've enjoyed reading about some of the lovely new homeware additions that I've collected for the festive season. Where is your favourite place to shop for girly Christmas decor?

Anastasia Beverly Hills Holiday Loose Glitters Set | Enchanting Snowy Sparkles

As soon as I spotted the Anastasia Beverly Hills Christmas sneak peeks on Instagram stories, I completely fell in love with this beautiful Holiday Loose Glitters Set which just looked so magical and sparkly. Even though it is coming up to Christmas and I could have popped this onto my pretty pink wishlist, I decided to splurge on it instead on the day it was released as I was too scared it would sell out. The packaging was too beautiful and whimsical to resist and the gorgeous selection of glitters will be perfect for sparkling your way through the Christmas season.

The set comes in the most stunning pale pink box that is covered in a fine glitter sparkle and then has a sleeve dusted in iridescent silver snowflakes over the top. I even love the fact that the little plastic clasp at the side of the box folds over to make a love heart which is the cutest little detail. I think I might have to hold onto this packaging to store my glitters in as it is far too pretty to throw away and it would be perfect for Christmas gifting as it looks so enchanting and festive.

The Holiday Loose Glitters Set contains five beautiful sparkling pigments which each have a unique colour reflex and a glitter adhesive. They are the finest glitters which make them so easy to apply and you can create a wide range of makeup looks with these as well as using them to enhance your highlighter or as a body sparkle. I've tried out a couple of them over the top of some light champagne pink eyeshadows and they just add the most princessy and whimsical finishing touch. I think these would be so lovely for a festive party or even just to add a little sparkle to your makeup for a visit to a Christmas market. The glitter adhesive is really easy to apply too and the pigments essentially stick to the top of it which means they last for ages as well and don't crease.

The shades are all a gorgeous snowy white glitter and each have a beautiful colour reflex to them. All of the glitters are so pretty but I think my favourite shades have to be 'Snowfall' which is an iridescent white with a rainbow reflex and 'Glisten' which is a lovely winter white with a soft pink and lilac reflex. However, I also think that 'Mistletoe' would be so magical if you wanted to create an enchanting Elsa ice princess look!

I'm so impressed with the quality of these beautiful Loose Glitters and I now really want to try some of the Loose Eyeshadows from Anastasia Beverly Hills as they have such a gorgeous range of shades. It would also make the prettiest gift for a sparkling princess to unwrap this Christmas!

What do you think of this set?

Lush Christmas Splurge

As soon as the Lush Christmas products are released, I always get a little excited and have to make an order! I think winter is the perfect time to indulge in a sparkly pink bubble bath as the weather outside is just miserable and with all of the craziness of Christmas, it's lovely to take a little time out for yourself to have a pamper. I've picked out the most girly pink products from this year's collection and I had to share them all with you...

The first product that went straight into my basket was this adorable little shimmery pearl polar bear bubble bar as he was just too cute to resist! This little one contains spearmint so it smells very fresh and icy and the girl in the Lush store said it would be a good one if you have the cold. All you have to do is crumble this little polar bear under the warm running water and it creates a blanket of snowy white bubbles.

As soon as I spotted this gorgeous little shimmer bar, I fell in love and thought it was like something that Elsa from Frozen would use in her princessy bath. It is shaped like a beautiful snowflake and is a gorgeous pink colour sprinkled in a fine glitter. Let It Glow smells really sweet and sugary with notes of candyfloss and bubblegum and is a perfect one to use for a little bit of Christmas sparkle after your bath if you want to feel like a glittering snowflake princess!

I bought this little Igloo Bath Oil as I thought it looked really cute and I love the shimmery pearlescent finish that it has, much like the Polar Bear Plunge. This one contains menthol so it has a very fresh and icy mint scent although I was expecting it to be a little larger than it actually is!

I bought this bath bomb when it was released a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it so I'm glad that they've brought it back to coincide with the release of Frozen 2! It's a beautiful icy blue and white bath bomb that fills your bath with creamy white and pale blue bubbles that look like something out of a winter wonderland and lots of sparkly silver glitter. This one has a really fresh scent and contains neroli and rose oil so it has a soft floral and zesty undertone too.

I've loved the Magic Wand bubble bar from Lush for years and they have changed the design a little this time. I think this is the most princessy product out of all of the ones that I have as it looks like a little fairytale magic wand and is a pink star shape with a smaller star design in the centre. All you have to do is swirl it around your bath or under the running water and it gives you lots of fluffy pink bubbles and a gorgeous sweet scent. I also love that it is sprinkled in silver glitter and has a little pink stick. This is a perfect stocking filler for any pretty princesses who love sparkly pink bubble baths!

Snow Fairy is one of my favourite scents from Lush but I do find that the Shower Gel can be a little bit intense and sickly for everyday use so I was really excited when I noticed that there was a bath bomb available with the same scent. This one will be perfect for a sparkly pink princess bubble bath as it smells like candyfloss and bubblegum and creates sweet pink waters for an enchanting soak. I love the cute pink and white sparkly snowflake design on one side of the bath bomb and then the other side is a gorgeous icy blue and white snowflake design and it reminds me of something from a Disney fairytale!

This is one of my favourite products from the Lush Christmas range and I'm so glad that they've brought it back again this year! However, it does have a different scent as normally it's quite a sweet vanilla but it now has more of a sweet blackcurrant and berry scent which is actually really nice. My favourite thing about this bath bomb is that it makes your bath like a swirly pastel rainbow with lots of pink and shimmer. I usually save this one to use on Christmas Eve for a little pre-Christmas treat!

What are your favourite products from Lush at Christmas time?
