Pretty Pink Ideas To Sweeten Up Your February

February is always such a cold and miserable month but I do actually quite like it as there is Valentine's Day and I love anything pink with love hearts, roses and chocolates. I thought I'd pop together a few cute little ideas to make you fall back in love with February...

Treat Yourself To A Bunch Of Pretty Pink And Cream Roses
One of my New Year's resolutions was to start treating myself to a little bunch of flowers every now and again as they really cheer up my living room and brighten my mood. I chose a beautiful bunch of pale pink and soft cream roses this week and they are just stunning! I'm also really excited for peony season and all of the pretty spring flowers like daffodils and tulips too.

Paint Your Nails With A Soft Pastel Pink Shade
I find that quite often I actually get my nails done more recently but sometimes I do like to paint my own if I have a little time to spare. I love soft shades of manicure pinks like Essie's 'Romper Room', 'Ballet Slippers' and 'Mademoiselle' or you could go for more of a candy pink shade such as Essie's 'Muchi Muchi' which is another one of my faves.

Bake Love Heart Sugar Cookies Or Cupcakes
I've always really fancied making a love heart-shaped cookie and icing it with pink and white buttercream and a cute little saying but you could also make some lovely little fondant cupcakes with teddy bears, love hearts, roses, envelopes and chocolate boxes. They'd be yummy to enjoy after a romantic Valentine's dinner or you could gift wrap them to make a sweet little present.

Make An Indulgent Hot Chocolate With Cream And Love Heart Sweeties
I always enjoy making hot chocolates throughout the winter months so I decided to make one in my pretty pale pink ruffled tea cup and add some whipped cream and little love heart sweeties. I think this would be perfect for a cosy night in gossiping with your friends!

Wear Your Favourite Perfume
If you're getting dressed up for a little date night, it's always nice to spritz on some of your favourite perfume. I absolutely love Lancome's La Vie Est Belle as well as Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb which has the most beautiful girly pink and black floral packaging and would also make a lovely Valentine's Day gift if you wanted to treat someone!

Splurge On Some Pretty New Lingerie
I'm definitely guilty of not buying myself enough pretty lingerie and I think most girls are! It's lovely to have a little splurge occasionally and do you not think that wearing lovely underwear just makes you feel even nicer? I love dainty pale pink lacey pieces and I'm loving Boux Avenue's lovely new spring collection as well as anything from Ted Baker!

Treat Yourself To A New Lipstick
Valentine's Day is all about little treats and romance so why not splurge on a new lipstick that you've been wanting for ages? I would always recommend the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks and my favourite shade is 'Lingerie Pink' which is so fitting for a pretty date night. They also come in the most gorgeous gold tubes that even have a little rose cut out in the centre!

Have A Little Date Night With Prosecco And Cosy Up With A Movie
Sometimes, it's nice just to get cosied up on the sofa with the candles burning and a fluffy blanket rather than going out and my husband and I certainly love doing this for a chilled little date night. You can have a little glass of prosecco or you could make candyfloss pink gin cocktails which are one of my faves and choose a movie to watch on Netflix.

Indulge In A Box Of Your Favourite Chocolates
Around Valentine's Day, I think it's just acceptable to treat yourself to a box of chocolates! I adore the Charbonnel Et Walker Pink Marc De Champagne Truffles and this time, I picked them up in the prettiest blush pink love heart box. They are such a treat and are basically like champagne creams with a white chocolate coating and dusted in icing sugar with a slight hint of strawberry.

Have A Bubble Bath With Scented Candles And Pink Rose Petals
I think one of the loveliest ways to relax is to run yourself a hot bath with loads of bubbles and crumble up a cute bubble bar. Around Valentine's Day, I particularly love using Lush's Unicorn Horn which is rainbow coloured and shimmery and has a beautiful candyfloss and lavender scent which I find to be so relaxing. You can light a few of your favourite candles and also scatter some pink rose petals to add a cute finishing touch!

Have A Girly Night With Pink Champagne, Gossiping And White Chocolate Strawberries
I always think it's lovely to have a little girly night in every now and again so why not invite over some of your close friends, make some white chocolate strawberries and pour some glasses of pink champagne? Then you can get cosied up with some candles burning and pop on a few chick flicks like Legally Blonde, Mean Girls and The Notebook.

Visit A Pretty Cafe For Sugary Sweet Pink Treats
I visited Peggy Porschen in London at Christmas time a few years ago and I've always dreamt of going back around Valentine's Day as their girly pink decor and cake displays are the prettiest. I'd love to pop in for a love heart sugar cookie, a slice of Strawberries & Champagne cake and a hot chocolate served in a pretty pink mug!

What do you like to do during February?
